A physiotherapist living in a handsome Victorian villa near Tunbridge Wells Common wanted a combined gym and treatment room at home so she could see private clients without renting expensive clinic space. Her garden was beautifully maintained, about 90 feet long, with herbaceous borders and a mature apple tree near the rear boundary. We designed a 5m x 4m garden gym with a clean, professional aesthetic that worked as both a workout space and a clinical setting.

The interior was split into two zones using a retractable curtain divider. One half housed a treatment couch, resistance bands and a set of light dumbbells for patient rehabilitation work. The other half was her personal training area with a bench, kettlebells and a compact cardio setup. We fitted medical-grade vinyl flooring throughout for easy cleaning, plus a small washbasin in one corner for clinical hygiene. Views through the front windows look out across the garden towards the Common’s treeline.
