Garden Gym, Horsham

This 4.5m x 4.5m garden gym was built for a retired couple in Horsham who wanted to stay active without the hassle of driving into town for classes. They specifically asked for a square layout to give flexibility for different types of exercise, from free weights to yoga.

We fitted a sprung timber subfloor to reduce impact on joints, along with wall mounted mirrors and a compact but effective air circulation system. The insulated panels keep the gym warm through winter and cool in summer, so they can train comfortably all year round.

The couple now use the space daily, alternating between strength training and stretching sessions. They told us it’s one of the best decisions they’ve made since retiring, and they love that it’s just a short walk from the kitchen.
