Garden Rooms Wimbledon

Bespoke garden rooms for Wimbledon’s prestigious period homes and leafy gardens. Family builders with over 1,000 completed projects.

Wimbledon hardly needs an introduction. Famous for tennis, blessed with the Common, and packed with stunning Victorian and Edwardian homes, it’s one of South West London’s finest addresses. The properties here tend to come with substantial gardens, and a beautifully built garden room is the perfect way to unlock that space without altering the house itself.

We’re a family company based in Biggin Hill, Kent, and we’ve been building bespoke garden offices, gyms, and studios since 2004. Wimbledon is one of our South West London areas, and we love working here. The combination of mature gardens, period properties, and homeowners who appreciate real quality makes it a natural fit for what we do. Whether you’re in the Village, Wimbledon Park, or closer to the town centre, we’ll design something that complements your home.

Our showroom in Biggin Hill is about 40 minutes from Wimbledon, and we’d encourage you to make the trip. Seeing our buildings in person is the best way to appreciate the craftsmanship.

Garden Gym, Wimbledon

A consultant surgeon living in a large Edwardian house on Wimbledon Hill Road wanted a home gym that matched the quality of his property. He trained with a personal trainer twice a week and needed space for functional fitness equipment, a Peloton bike, and a stretching area. We designed a 6m x 4m garden room with a vaulted ceiling to give the space an airy, open feel.

The build sits at the far end of his 30 metre garden, positioned to catch morning light through the east facing glazing. Inside, the flooring is professional grade rubber in a charcoal finish, and we installed a ceiling mounted multi grip pull up bar, cable crossover machine anchor points, and integrated Sonos speakers. A discreet split system handles heating and cooling.

His personal trainer now comes to the house for sessions, and the surgeon uses the gym independently on other days. He told us the garden room has become the most used space on the property, and that several neighbours on the same road have since asked for our contact details.

Garden Office, Wimbledon

A partner at a Wimbledon Village law firm decided to create a home office where she could work on complex cases without interruption. Her Victorian semi on Lingfield Road had a beautiful walled garden, and she wanted the office to sit naturally within the existing planting scheme. We installed a Maxi at 5.5m x 4m, clad in western red cedar that will weather to a silver grey over time, blending with the garden’s mature palette.

Inside, the space is fitted with built in bookshelves along one wall, a partner’s desk, and a small conference table for meetings with up to four people. Acoustic glass and enhanced wall insulation ensure total privacy, which is essential for sensitive legal work. We added underfloor heating, a mini kitchen with a sink and boiling water tap, and a discreet cloakroom.

She now works from the garden office three to four days a week and says it’s the most productive space she’s ever had. The walk across the garden, she told us, is the world’s best commute.

    About Wimbledon

Wimbledon combines village charm with excellent urban connectivity. The Village, perched on the hill above the town centre, feels almost rural with its boutique shops, pubs with garden terraces, and proximity to Wimbledon Common’s 1,100 acres of open land. Below the hill, Wimbledon town centre offers mainstream retail, restaurants, and the New Wimbledon Theatre. The residential streets between the two are lined with impressive Victorian and Edwardian houses, many with Arts and Crafts detailing and generous, well established gardens.

Transport is superb. Wimbledon station is served by District line, Thameslink, South Western Railway, and the tram to Croydon. The town centre is a 20 minute rail journey from Waterloo. Wimbledon Park, with its lake and sports facilities, and Cannizaro Park, with its formal gardens and woodland walks, add to the area’s appeal. Properties here command premium prices, and gardens are often 20 to 30 metres or more, providing ample space for even the largest garden room configurations.

    Visit Our Showroom
