Garden Rooms Banstead

Bespoke garden rooms, offices, gyms and studios designed and built for Banstead homes. Family company, 1,000+ builds since 2004.

Garden Rooms Banstead

Handcrafted garden rooms for Banstead’s village setting and spacious family homes. A family company bringing over 20 years of experience to every build.

Banstead has a genuine village atmosphere that’s hard to find this close to London, and the properties here reflect that. Detached and semi-detached family homes with generous gardens are the norm rather than the exception, making this corner of Surrey particularly well-suited to bespoke garden room builds.

We’ve completed projects across Banstead, Nork, and Burgh Heath, building garden offices for commuters, studios for creative professionals, and gyms for fitness enthusiasts. The area’s proximity to the North Downs means many gardens here benefit from mature trees and natural screening that give garden buildings a wonderfully secluded feel.

Take a look at our buildings and prices to get started, or come and visit our Biggin Hill showroom. We’re about 25 minutes from Banstead, and seeing the builds in person is always the best way to appreciate the quality of our work.

As a family company, we take real pride in every build. You’ll deal with the same people from your first enquiry through to handover, and we’ll be here if you need anything after that. That continuity is something our customers tell us they really value.

Garden Gym, Banstead

A nurse at Epsom Hospital worked rotating shifts and found it impossible to keep a regular gym membership. Her semi-detached home in Nork had a well-maintained rear garden, and we built a 4.5m x 4m garden gym that gives her the flexibility to train whenever her schedule allows, whether that’s 7am or 10pm.

We kept the design practical and efficient, with rubber flooring, a wall-mounted fold-down bench press, a compact cable machine, and storage hooks for resistance bands and skipping ropes. The space also includes a yoga mat area near the bi-fold doors so she can stretch with the doors open on warm mornings. We fitted low-level LED lighting for late evening sessions that won’t disturb the neighbours.

She told us the gym has been transformative for her wellbeing. After a long shift, being able to do 30 minutes of exercise without leaving the house helps her decompress and sleep better. It’s exactly the kind of practical, life-improving project we love being part of.

Garden Office, Banstead

A chartered surveyor in Banstead village was tired of the daily commute to his firm’s Croydon office and wanted a professional workspace at home. His detached 1950s property had a wide rear garden backing onto Banstead Downs, and we designed a 5.5m x 4m garden office from our Maxi range with views out across the green space behind.

The office includes a large plan table for reviewing drawings, a separate desk for computer work, and wall-mounted shelving for reference files. We installed enhanced sound insulation so he can take client calls without background noise, and the exterior was finished in dark grey composite cladding that gives the building a sleek, contemporary look against the traditional garden setting.

He now works from the garden office three days a week and says the view of the Downs from his desk beats any office he’s worked in. The daily commute has been replaced by a 10-second walk across the patio, and he reckons he’s gaining back nearly three hours a day that used to be spent in the car.

    About Banstead

Banstead is a village on the edge of the North Downs in the Borough of Reigate and Banstead, and it genuinely feels like a rural community despite being well within commuting distance of London. The high street is anchored by All Saints Church and lined with a good mix of independent shops, pubs, and cafes. Banstead Downs, a large area of chalk grassland to the south, adds to the village’s green, open character.

Transport links centre on Banstead railway station, which provides services to London Victoria via Sutton in 40 to 50 minutes. Many residents drive to Sutton or Epsom for faster train connections. Road access is good, with the A217 running north towards London and south towards Reigate, and the M25 reachable within 15 minutes.

Property in Banstead ranges from characterful period homes near the village centre to substantial 1950s and 1960s detached houses on generous plots. Gardens here tend to be larger than average, often with mature planting and established boundaries, which makes the village one of the best areas in Surrey for garden room installations. The strong sense of community, excellent schools, and proximity to open countryside continue to attract families to the area.
